When I served in the Honduran Airforce, they sent me to the states to be trained by the US Air Force. While there, an American lady went to pick up all the Honduran students to help us practice English, but her main goal was to share the gospel with us. She led me to the Lord, and I accepted Christ with her. In fact, many of us accepted Christ with her.
This took place in April 1998. Soon after, my wife and I started going to church and listening to God’s Word. The church we were attending announced a mission trip to the mountains, and I decided to go.
We traveled all day and then walked for four hours to reach the village. While having supper, the brothers asked me to be the music director that night, and I served in that role. At that moment, I knew God was calling me to serve Him in the mountains, and since then I have not stopped planting churches in rural areas.
We have seen God’s faithfulness in His promise to be with us until the end. He has provided everything we need to serve Him and the people in our country. We have four grown children whom we raised while doing mission work. They are serving wherever they are.
For about 25 years, we have worked with mission teams from the United States, doing many different ministries. However, twelve years ago my wife and I started a church in a rural community with no Christians. We travel 3 hours every weekend from our home in Siguatepeque to serve in this community. By God’s grace, about 40 people come to church every weekend now. We also have a children’s ministry there where we teach kids to read and write and provide meals for them. Every Saturday, about 35 children attend.
Please pray for us—that God will guide us in the right direction so we can continue serving Him wherever He needs us, and for strength and health to serve Him well.

- Our merchant account does receive 4% of your donation as a processing fee. This is an administrative fee typical of online payment services. Although RTS will receive a little less than your donation, the entire amount of your donation is deductible for tax purposes. Each person giving a donation has the opportunity to select an option to cover this fee. If you decide to cover this fee, that portion is also tax-deductible.
- Every online gift processed will receive a receipt by email. Please keep these for your tax records. RTS Missions will also issue annual statements as well. If you do not receive a statement, please contact us to ensure that we have received your donation.
