Because education is a major priority of our ministry, every Impact Partner that gives at least $30 a month can sponsor a child and encourage them.
If your are an Impact Partner and would like to encourage and interact with a child in our program, please email us HERE. We will contact you and pair you with a child who will love to meet you! Please read our FAQ's below.
Frequently asked questions
How long is a child in the program?
A child in our program will be able to stay through graduation. There are always a number of circumstances that might contribute to a child leaving our program, but we are committed to these children for the long term.
How long is my sponsorship commitment?
It is our prayer that your child becomes your extended family and that your sponsorship continues through the life of their stay in our program. We will continue your sponsorship, and the care that you provide for children until you ask us to cancel your sponsorship. You may cancel your sponsorship at any time. We just ask that you notify us, so we can actively look for another sponsor.
How often will I receive news on my sponsored child?
You will receive current updates and pictures periodically through the child's Facebook group each sponsor will be invited to. We believe this will enhance your overall experience, rather than waiting months for an update. This gives you an opportunity to interact with your child throughout the year.
What is the best way to get updates?
Child sponsors will receive a special invitation to join their child's Facebook community group. Through the community group, sponsors will receive photos, messages, and updates on their child. It is our vision to see your community group become more than a group of financial sponsors, but a meaningful, engaging, prayerful support system.
You can post questions and comments to your child on the Facebook group and our team will work with your child to respond.
We encourage each sponsor to help build their child's community through their own social networks. Invite a friend or family member to join your child's community group by sponsoring a child today!!!
How can I correspond with my sponsored child?
The best way at this time will be to use the Facebook group. You can send messages and photos to encourage your child.
Although we have suspended trips to Haiti at this time, in the future you mail also send items following the instructions below.
You can send cards, letters, and pictures to your child by sending them to:
PO Box 897
Land O Lakes, FL 34639
Be sure your child's name and school community name (i.e. RTS Academy - Juampas; RTS Academy Colora) are on the correspondence. Please do not include your address, phone number, or email in letters to your child.
Can I send a gift to my child?
We understand your desire to send packages to your sponsored child. However, we cannot accept packages for the following reasons:
- High Cost of Shipping
- Possibility of loss, theft, and damage
- Difficulty in getting packages to children in isolated areas
- It can create difficulties when only one child receives a significant gift, especially in orphanage situations
If you would like to remember your child in a special way, you may enclose small items in letters to your child or in an envelope no larger than 6x9 inches. Some items that children will enjoy are: stickers, hair ribbons, picture postcards, and other flat inexpensive items.
Are my contributions tax-deductible?
Yes! Our organization qualifies as a tax-exempt, non-profit organization under IRS code 501 (c)3. You will receive a tax receipt from our organization before January 31 for your giving in the prior year.
How much of my contribution goes to my child?
100 percent of your sponsorship supports your child's program in Haiti. All the donation dollars for each child are pooled together to benefit every child.
