Job Summary:  The Field Director is to direct, monitor and coordinate all RTS ministries in Haiti. 

 

Reports to: President   

 

Qualifications: Personally

 accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; Be spiritually mature; Possess a burden for the lost and a desire to see the Gospel proclaimed; Demonstrate by experience and/or education to be equipped for this ministry and have a call to missionary service. Be a member, in good standing, of a Bible-believing church; Have documentation of official acknowledgment from their local church indicating recommendation of this individual to missionary service.  Be able to raise their own full-time support while in service to RTS.  Be able to live in Haiti full time. Able to work harmoniously with others; Display a willingness of prompt obedience to those God has placed in authority over them; Be willing to be accountable for all tasks and responsibilities of this position.  

  

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  1. Direct, monitor and coordinate the day to day operations and programs of RTS Missions in Haiti.

  2. Ensure RTS policies and practices are followed and implemented by staff and program team leaders.

  3. Develop strategy and new programs in cooperation with executive management team that enhances and advances the organization towards its vision. 

  4. Make decisions and acts in the absence of established policy that is in the best interests of the organization, team members and the communities served.

  5. Hire and dismiss staff within the field ministry team in keeping with the organizations policies and processes.

  6. Assist the President in the preparation of reports for the Board of Directors.

  7. Assists in planning, goal setting and budgeting for the ministry work in Haiti.

  8. Communicates effectively and consistently with all stakeholders, to include but not limited to, team members, local leaders, Executive Management and the Board as needed. 

  9. Other duties as may be assigned.

 

By signing this job description, I understand the length of appointment is for an indefinite period of time, unless otherwise stipulated at the time of appointment.  Should separation be desired by either the missionary or the General Director/Management Team, a minimum of 30 days' notice shall be given unless there is just cause for an earlier separation.
